Significant progress has been made in the fields of evaluation, monitoring, protection, utilization, and mechanisms of groundwater. However, there is still a need for further improvement in areas such as the mechanism of surface water-groundwater interaction, joint regulation of surface water and groundwater, groundwater monitoring and early warning, and sustainable development, utilization and protection of groundwater.
