Excel Split is a function that allows you to divide a single cell into multiple cells by using a specific delimiter, such as a comma, space or semicolon. This function is useful when you have a large amount of data in a single cell and want to separate it into individual pieces of information.

For example, if you have a column of data that lists first and last names in a single cell (e.g. "John Smith"), you can use the Split function to separate the first name and last name into two separate cells.

To use the Split function in Excel, you need to follow these steps:

1. Select the cell or range of cells that contain the data you want to split.
2. Click on the "Data" tab in the Excel ribbon.
3. Click on the "Text to Columns" button.
4. In the "Convert Text to Columns Wizard" dialog box, select "Delimited" and click "Next".
