2.5 Definitions
Instance of an Executable Module once it has been installed and made
selectable on a UICC.
A cryptogram generated by the card in response to a GENERATE AC
command.
Application Protocol
Data Unit (APDU)
Standard communication messaging protocol between a POS terminal and a
UICC
Entity that is responsible for the NFC service behaviour
Stores and manages delivery of UICC CMP applications or of mobile
application (GUI) used for payment and for other NFC services.
The CMP applications are downloaded through the UICC Management
Platform or through the TSM Management Platform.
The mobile applications are downloaded through the GUI Management
Platform.
The provision of assurance of the claimed identity of an entity or of data origin.
Authorisation ReQuest
Cryptogram (ARQC)
An Application Cryptogram generated when requesting online authorisation
Authorisation ResPonse
Cryptogram (ARPC)
A cryptogram generated by the Issuing Bank in response to an Authorisation
ReQuest Cryptogram
Graphical User Interface application under the responsibility of the Issuing
Bank
Bank Supplementary
Security Domain (SSD)
Security Domain containing instances of the payment package (and also the
payment package itself when set in Delegated Management mode).
Includes the CMP application and the Issuing Bank keysets
SSD that handles OTA secure layers (SCP80)
Player providing functions for transport encryption to manage the bank SSD by
establishing a dedicated secure channel to tunnel management commands
and data.
When using Delegated Management mode, it also provides functions to
manage the request of SSD creation and after requesting a token DM to MNO,
to manage the CMP application installation, instantiation and deletion
This is a battery state.
In this event, the battery is not empty but do not embed enough energy so as
to switch on the screen, realise voice usages and/or realise a NFC transaction
in reader mode
Entity that owns the UICC and is ultimately responsible for the UICC behaviour
Cardholder Verification
Method (CVM)
A method to ensure that the person presenting the card (embedded in the
mobile handset) is the person to whom the card was issued
An off-card system providing functions to manage various card types and their
associated application(s) and specific configurations for Customers.
The CMS creates the Bank SSD using the UICC Management platform.
Trusted third party that establishes a proof that links public key and other
relevant information to its owner.
