The liquid level control problem is a common issue in both people's daily lives and industrial production processes. In industries such as wastewater treatment, solution filtration, and chemical production, controlling the liquid level is crucial for improving production efficiency and product quality. This can be simplified as the water level control problem of a double-capacity water tank. In this study, a cascade control system for a double-capacity water tank was designed based on MCGS configuration software, using the AE2000B process control experimental device and PLC technology. This system is capable of accurately controlling the water level in the lower tank, with features such as ease of operation, reliable operation, and strong anti-interference capabilities.
