AsIdescribehowanalysiswithanagilemindsetworksonITprojects,Iwon’tdelve
toomuchintohowtodotried-and-trueanalysistechniques.Therearealreadyenough
resourcesthatdoafantasticjobofexplainingthosetechniques,anditdilutesthefocusof
thisbook.Instead,I’llfocusonwhythosetechniquesarehelpfulandwhentheyarebest
used.Idointroduceafewtechniquesfromotherskillsetsnotcommonlyknownin
analysiscircles,andinthosecasesIprovideamoredetaileddescriptionofhowtoperform
thattechnique.Inallcases,Iprovidemyfavoritereferencesformoreinformationabout
thosetechniques.
