In recent years, with the advancement of technology and economy in China, elevators have become an indispensable vertical transportation tool in both high-rise and multi-storey buildings. The control system of elevators has evolved from the initial relay control to microcomputer control. Programmable logic controllers (PLC) have emerged as the core of elevator control systems due to their high reliability and powerful functionality. This graduation thesis design project focuses on the development of an automatic elevator operation system based on PLC technology. The control unit of the system utilizes a Mitsubishi programmable logic controller to fully control the operation of the elevator. The system is responsible for controlling the elevator's ascending and descending movements, acceleration and deceleration, leveling, starting, and automatic control. It features a simple mechanical structure, high operational efficiency, precise leveling accuracy, and ease of understanding and mastery. In conclusion, this automatic elevator operation system design based on PLC technology represents a significant advancement in elevator control systems. By leveraging the power and reliability of PLCs, the system ensures efficient and precise elevator operation, enhancing the overall safety and user experience. This design project contributes to the continued evolution and improvement of elevator technology in line with the growing demands of modern urban infrastructure.
