The use of drones in military operations has become a dominant force in modern warfare, leading to the development of unmanned combat aerial vehicles. In order to better support and optimize the performance of these unmanned combat aerial vehicles, an intelligent support system is necessary, with autonomous technology being the preferred choice. The United States was one of the earliest adopters of drones in combat, showcasing advanced technology and providing valuable insights into the development of drone support systems. By studying and analyzing the development of the U.S. military drone support system, valuable lessons can be learned for the advancement of drone technology globally. By examining the needs, characteristics, and trends in drone support, and by focusing on key technologies involved in autonomous support systems, new concepts can be developed to enhance the precision and efficiency of drone maintenance and support services. This research aims to cultivate innovative support strategies, strengthen the precision support capabilities for military drones, and elevate the operational effectiveness of military drone missions.
