The undergraduate thesis titled "Development of Android Phone Map Application" explores the emerging and valuable service of mobile phone map applications. By utilizing the location technology of mobile devices and communicating with map application servers through mobile communication networks, these services provide various location-related information to users, making travel easier. The thesis covers the requirements analysis, design of functional modules, system flow, and interface design of a mobile web map service system. Key technologies used in the system implementation are also introduced. The web map service implemented in this thesis is developed based on the Android platform and utilizes Baidu Maps as the network map. The system allows users to browse city maps, zoom in, zoom out, and move around. It also incorporates GPS positioning technology to enable self-positioning, location search, and path tracking functionalities, meeting the basic map service needs of mobile users.
