s unique advantages that bring great application value to small and medium-sized enterprises in China, and its prospects are very broad. However, the third-party e-commerce mode in China is still in its early stages, and there are many deficiencies in its development, which to a certain extent, restricts the development of small and medium-sized enterprises. Therefore, this paper first proposes the connotation, characteristics, classification, and application value of third-party e-commerce. Secondly, using SWOT analysis method, it analyzes the advantages, disadvantages, opportunities, and threats of small and medium-sized enterprises applying third-party e-commerce, and explains that the third-party e-commerce mode is suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises. Small and medium-sized enterprises can only give full play to their own advantages, seize opportunities, overcome weaknesses, and avoid risks in order to fully play the role of third-party e-commerce and promote the sustainable development of enterprises. Furthermore, it analyzes the current situation of third-party e-commerce at home and abroad and the problems faced by small and medium-sized enterprises in China when applying third-party e-commerce. It also proposes application strategies and development prospects. Finally, through case analysis, it concludes that the third-party e-commerce mode is the only way for small and medium-sized enterprises to achieve rapid, healthy, and sustainable development.
