The design of a six-layer double-deck parallel elevator controlled by Siemens S7-200PLC. The structure and functions of the elevator model, as well as the I/O interface allocation of Siemens S7-200PLC and the program design for the elevator system, are introduced. Through the design of the control system for the six-layer elevator, the control performance of operation modes such as opening and closing doors, call prompts, up and down movements, starting, delayed door closing after 2 seconds, parking at level, opening car doors, and signal queuing are achieved. By writing program software, installing hardware, and coordinating with the six-layer double-deck elevator model, the elevator model can clearly demonstrate its operation. Two Siemens S7-200PLC controllers are used alternately and combined with computer communication in the elevator control system. MCGS configuration is used as the upper computer to monitor the elevator operation, issue fault alarms, and save real-time data. The main functions include parallel control of double-deck, control of 2-second door open time, opening doors outside the current level, delayed door closing after door is in place for 2 seconds, opening doors with buttons, changing stations, controlling cabin lighting, setting floor display characters, display, overload protection, door edge anti-trap protection, up and down floor indicators, pulse width modulation (PWM).
