智能交通控制系统设计与研究——基于8051单片机的创新方案

Abstract: In recent years, with the rapid growth of private vehicles and the increasing traffic flow in China, traffic congestion has become a serious issue, especially at intersections. Traditional traffic light control systems have shown obvious shortcomings, such as fixed red and green light timings that do not adjust according to changes in traffic flow. This thesis focuses on urban traffic control and utilizes 8051 microcontroller technology to analyze and research an intelligent traffic light control system. The thesis discusses a traffic intelligent control and time display system based on the 8051 microcontroller, which adjusts the duration of the red and green lights based on the detected vehicle flow, changing the green light ratio accordingly to improve traffic flow and safety, achieving the goal of intelligent control. This system is characterized by easy operation, low cost, strong practicality, and enhanced functionality through a combination of software and hardware. The simulated system consists of a microcontroller hardware/software system, 8255 parallel general-purpose interface, vehicle flow detection system, time display system with two seven-segment displays, LED light display system, and reset control circuit, effectively simulating the control and command situation on traffic roads.
