of helical gears directly affects the smooth operation of helical gears. Among various mechanical machining methods for helical gears, the primary step is to calculate the differential gear selection. However, traditional manual calculations for selecting the gear are unable to meet the requirements of fast and accurate calculations. Based on the above reasons, we have developed gear hobbing machine differential gear selection software using computer technology on the basis of studying differential gear selection algorithms. The purpose of choosing this topic is to change the traditional method of selecting differential gears on gear hobbing machines, and to find a simple, fast, and high-precision method to replace the time-consuming and error-prone tabulation method. This method has low accuracy and sometimes even leads to the inability to meet the requirements of gear allocation calculations due to the inability to adjust the gear hobbing machine's gear allocation and installation conditions.
