Smart home applications based on mobile platforms have become an indispensable part of smart home systems. The main content of this project is to design and implement a smart home app based on Android, and refine reusable middleware. This paper first introduces the development background and significance of smart home apps, as well as related knowledge and technologies. Next, according to the software requirements hierarchy, the requirements of smart home apps are analyzed. Then, the overall design of the smart home app is presented, including system platform selection, software architecture design, system function module division, and data structure design. Subsequently, the design and implementation of the basic function layer and the core function layer are detailed, with these two layers of modules existing in the form of middleware. Finally, the detailed design and implementation of user functions are introduced. The smart home app introduced in this paper is an important component of the smart home system, allowing users to remotely control and monitor home devices through their phones, realizing a smart living environment. The research content of this paper will contribute to the development of smart home systems, improving the convenience and comfort of users' lives.
