Abstract With the emergence of WeChat and the increase of a large number of users, WeChat has become an extremely promising platform. The massive usage of WeChat offers great potential for developers to effectively utilize the platform and potentially generate significant income. The rapid development of 4G communication, mobile devices, and QR code technology has made it possible for smartphones to carry a variety of complex applications. WeChat is now the most commonly used communication software in daily life, with its uses extending to a wide range of applications. This project aims to develop a platform for discussing and watching popular movies and TV shows, which requires visitors to register. Once registered and logged in, users can view trailers for upcoming movies, comment on the trailers, watch popular TV shows and movies, post comments, and share content with friends. The administrator of the mini-program has the ability to manage movies by adding, deleting, or changing them, updating titles and descriptions, and editing trailer content. The development tools for this mini-program are the WeChat Developer Tools, and the database system used is the Cloud Development Database provided by WeChat. The programming languages used include JavaScript, WXML, and WXSS, enabling the development of a mini-program for movie discussion and communication.
