Everyone has their own unique features, and using these features for identity verification has significant advantages. This paper outlines the current research status of automatic fingerprint recognition systems, the algorithm process of fingerprint recognition systems, as well as the fingerprint image segmentation algorithm and fingerprint image refinement algorithm based on this. It also completes the hardware circuit design of a fingerprint recognition system based on a single-chip microcontroller. By using the TFS-M51 fingerprint recognition module, a hardware circuit for fingerprint recognition based on a single-chip microcontroller is designed to form an independent fingerprint recognition system. This system enables serial communication between the single-chip microcontroller and the fingerprint module. By operating an independent keypad, corresponding instructions are sent to the DSP chip of the fingerprint module for functions such as adding users, deleting specified users, deleting all users, authenticating users, and managing user permissions.
