Abstract: With the rapid development of society, high-rise buildings are increasing, with some buildings reaching dozens of floors. Staircases alone cannot meet the needs of people in such tall buildings, and elevators have become a popular solution. The development of elevators has become a trend, as they are considered essential modes of transportation in high-rise buildings. As people's living standards improve, the demand for safety and comfort in elevators has also increased. The control of elevators now requires more stringent requirements in terms of motor speed control, precision control, and speed range adjustment. With the development of industrial demand, PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) was born, providing a broader development direction for elevator control systems. PLC, originated from industrial needs, has evolved to become smaller in size, more functional, and more stable in control effect, reducing the impact of external interference. It integrates mechanical and electrical components into a single system, thus becoming a key technology for elevator operation. This paper explores the design of a three-floor elevator control system based on PLC technology, highlighting the importance of PLC in the development of elevator control systems. Keywords: elevator, PLC, relay.
