Based on the current status of university laboratory equipment management, this paper presents the design and implementation of a university laboratory equipment management system. The system adopts an object-oriented development approach and leverages the SSH framework. The main functionalities of the system include laboratory equipment management, student reservation of laboratory slots, allocation of experiment times by laboratory administrators, and the ability for students to reserve free experiment slots when there are no scheduled experiments. Additionally, the system allows for the recording of experimental apparatus locations and centralized management of all laboratory equipment. Students are also able to view their experiment schedules, as well as check their attendance and absence records. The system follows a B/S structure and utilizes JSP technology for dynamic page design. JavaBeans are employed to encapsulate key code segments, with a focus on system security and code reusability. This system digitalizes and standardizes laboratory management, effectively improving the efficiency of laboratory operations and reducing the workload of management personnel. The design and implementation of the University Laboratory Equipment Management System serves to address the challenges faced in the current management of laboratory facilities in universities. Through the incorporation of modern development techniques and the streamlining of administrative processes, the system aims to optimize the utilization and organization of laboratory resources, ultimately enhancing the overall effectiveness of laboratory management.
