Based on the rapid development of mobile communication technology and network technology, the mobile phone system has undergone tremendous changes, from basic phones that only have simple calling functions to today's smartphones that integrate various services such as internet, chat, email, and video conferencing. Google led many powerful software and hardware manufacturers to establish the OMS alliance and launched the Android platform for mobile phone systems. As a newborn in this era, the Android operating platform has unique advantages and broad development prospects. This paper is based on the Android platform to develop a calculator. The thesis mainly elaborates on the design and implementation of an Android calculator using eclipse as the development tool for object-oriented programming. The thesis first introduces the Android development platform and environment, as well as the important parts of Android projects. It then analyzes and designs the calculator system and program. Furthermore, the implementation of the calculator system is carried out and the system is rigorously verified. Finally, this paper summarizes the work done.
