This paper introduces a design of digital thermometer based on C51 single chip microcomputer, which has multiple functions. It can set upper and lower alarm temperatures and emit alarm signals when the temperature is out of the set range. Single chip microcontroller has brought convenience to people's lives, and digital thermometer, as a typical example of single chip microcontroller application, has higher requirements for accuracy and functionality. Compared with traditional thermometers, the digital thermometer introduced in this design has more convenient degree display, wider measurement range and more accurate temperature measurement. Its temperature output is displayed digitally, and it is widely used in places where temperature measurement is relatively accurate, such as scientific research laboratories. The controller used in the design is AT89C51 microcontroller, and the temperature sensor is DS18B20. The temperature is displayed using a 3-digit common anode LED digital tube, and the data is transmitted through the serial port to achieve temperature display and accurate measurement.
