With the development of computer technology, people's work, study and life have become more efficient and convenient. Modern life is inseparable from the Internet, and the way people communicate with each other on the Internet has replaced traditional paper media. People can easily, quickly and freely share their interests on websites, and many different netizens can objectively and practically evaluate or discuss the content of the posts, exploring different perspectives on various matters. Through brainstorming, different ideas and sparks of thought are generated. This thesis focuses on the design and implementation of an online forum system. The system will enable real-time communication between forum users through posting, commenting, and replying. The system will be implemented using a three-tier architecture (business logic layer, data access layer, presentation layer), with main technologies including the SpringBoot framework for the business logic layer, the Mybatis framework for the data access layer, and the bootstrap framework for the presentation layer. The system consists of user modules, public information modules, post modules, and administrator modules, effectively implementing the functions of a modern online forum. In conclusion, the development of online forums has greatly promoted communication, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas among people. This thesis not only illustrates the importance of utilizing modern technologies, such as SpringBoot, in designing and implementing online forum systems but also highlights the impact of online forums on modern society. The ability to connect and engage with others online has revolutionized the way people interact and share information, ultimately leading to a more connected and informed society.
