Based on the design of the classroom lighting control system based on a single-chip microcomputer, this study focuses on the characteristics of classroom usage and lighting needs, as well as the existing problems. A classroom lighting control system based on a single-chip microcomputer is proposed. The system uses the AT89S51 single-chip microcomputer as the core component of the control module, utilizes a passive infrared sensor to detect human presence, and uses a circuit composed of a photosensitive transistor to detect ambient light intensity. By identifying and judging the signals of human presence and ambient light, the system intelligently controls the classroom lighting according to the conditions for reasonable lighting in the classroom, thereby avoiding a significant waste of electricity. The system also has an alarm function and adopts anti-interference measures such as software/hardware watchdogs. This system can meet the requirements of various schools for classroom lighting control, greatly achieving energy-saving purposes. Keywords: MCU; intelligent control; passive infrared sensor; X5045.
