ith the aim of improving work efficiency and standardizing student course selection, this paper designs an online course selection system for students. The system is developed using PHP technology and utilizes MySQL as the backend database. It is built on a B/S (Browser/Server) model, establishing a web-based platform for students to select their courses.
The system consists of three main modules: the administrator module, the teacher module, and the student module. The administrator subsystem includes functions such as setting basic academic information and course schedules, ensuring the integrity and consistency of academic information, and providing students with correct course selection information. The student subsystem allows students to browse course schedules, select and drop courses, and perform other related functions. The teacher subsystem allows teachers to manage their personal information and view student rosters.
Through testing, it is confirmed that the system has successfully achieved its intended purpose. The keywords of this design are student course selection, PHP, database, and B/S model. This online course selection system not only simplifies the process of course selection for students, but also streamlines administrative tasks for the university staff, ultimately improving the overall efficiency of the educational institution.
