With the development of microelectronics technology, computer technology, and automatic control theory, the logic control of elevators has been replaced by PLC from the original relay control, and the safety and reliability have been qualitatively improved. This paper focuses on the design and debugging of the PLC system for a six-story elevator control system. Elevator is a complex system integrating mechanics and electronics, involving not only mechanical transmission, electrical control, and civil engineering, but also considering reliability, comfort, and aesthetics. For modern elevators, they should have a high level of safety. In fact, multiple safety measures have been adopted in elevators. When designing elevators, large safety factors and insurance factors are adopted for mechanical components and electrical components. At present, the elevator operation logic control system composed of programmable logic controller (PLC) and microcomputer is developing rapidly. Keywords: PLC, elevator, control system
