This paper introduces the design of an infrared remote control water temperature control system based on a single chip microcontroller. The system is composed of various modules such as an infrared remote control module, water temperature heating module switch, DS18B20 temperature sensor module, buzzer alarm module, keypad module, LCD1602 liquid crystal display module, crystal oscillator circuit module, reset circuit module, and power supply module. The system adopts a top-down modular design, which is intuitive, easy to operate, compact in structure, and flexible in temperature control. It is capable of real-time and rapid temperature acquisition, temperature value display, over-temperature alarm, and heating functions, and can be set using an infrared remote control. Through extensive experimentation and testing, the system has demonstrated strong versatility, complete functionality, and practical simplicity, making it suitable for widespread use in industrial control applications. It can automate water heating systems, which is of great significance for the development of enterprises and society. Key words: AT89C51, DS18B20 temperature sensor, LCD1602 liquid crystal display.
