Influenced by the monsoon climate, most parts of China are hot and rainy in summer, and heavy rainfall occurs frequently, not only in short duration and high intensity local storms, but also in long duration and large-scale basin-wide rains. Almost every year, different degrees of flooding disasters occur. Therefore, improving water monitoring is helpful for the central station to monitor the water situation in real time and take timely and reasonable measures to prevent disasters and reduce the damage caused by disasters. This design is based on the AT89C51 chip as the core, supplemented by relevant peripheral circuits, and designed a single-chip microcomputer-based water monitoring system. The system is powered by a 12V DC power supply. In terms of hardware, in addition to the single-chip microcomputer, the SDI-12 bus is used to connect multiple sensors, and the water data collected by the sensors is sent to the single-chip microcomputer PO port through the TDC40 (SDI-12 to RS232 converter). The single-chip microcomputer stores real-time data through FLASH, and can also transmit the collected water data to the central station through communication channels such as PSTN, GSM, Beidou satellite, and maritime satellite. In terms of software, C language programming is used. The single-chip microcomputer program design is used to realize the monitoring, judgment, and control of the entire water data collection, storage, and transmission program of the water monitoring system, as well as human-computer interaction.
