With the development and innovation of technology and components, digital storage oscilloscopes are moving towards broadband, modular, multifunctional and networked direction. Digital storage oscilloscopes can achieve high bandwidth and powerful analysis capabilities. High-end digital storage oscilloscopes can achieve real-time bandwidth of up to 20GHz, which can be widely used in various testing fields such as gigabit Ethernet, optical communication, etc. Medium and low-end digital storage oscilloscopes can be widely used in general testing in various fields and also in teaching in universities and vocational colleges. However, the prices of digital storage oscilloscopes are generally high, ranging from thousands to hundreds of thousands, which are not suitable for simple use and measurement. Therefore, this paper introduces the principles and basic concepts of digital storage oscilloscopes and designs a simple digital storage oscilloscope based on a single-chip microcomputer, simplifying production costs, and achieving its basic functions and main technical indicators.
