"共筑美好家园，植树节主题班会"

The theme class meeting for Arbor Day titled "Green Action, Building a Better Home Together" was held on September 22, 2023. The importance of green action, the planning of Arbor Day activities, the origin and significance of Arbor Day, environmental protection tips sharing, class greening plan presentation, and the goal of building a better home together were discussed during the meeting. Arbor Day originated in ancient China, dating back to the Zhou Dynasty's "tree planting" activities. This tradition was further developed during the Tang Dynasty when Emperor Taizong of Tang ordered tree planting activities nationwide to improve the environment. In 1979, China officially established March 12th as Arbor Day annually to respond to the United Nations Environmental Convention, raise people's awareness of environmental protection, and promote green development. Arbor Day is more than just a holiday, it is a call to action. It encourages people to actively participate in greening the country by planting trees, improving the environment, and protecting the ecology. The theme class meeting for Arbor Day aims to inspire students' enthusiasm for environmental protection through learning about the origin and significance of Arbor Day. It guides them to take practical steps and actively participate in green actions, contributing to the beautification of our home together. Through the sharing of environmental protection tips and the presentation of a class greening plan, students were encouraged to become active participants in promoting a sustainable and green future. The goal of building a better home together was emphasized as a collective effort to create a more beautiful and sustainable environment for future generations. The theme class meeting for Arbor Day served as a reminder of the importance of environmental stewardship and the role that each individual can play in creating a more sustainable and green world.
