Multi-Disciplinary Optimization (MDO) emerged as a new research field in the 1980s, focusing on designing complex engineering systems composed of interconnected and interacting subsystems to achieve optimal overall performance. It is an important application area for algorithm research. The choice of algorithms directly affects the efficiency and accuracy of the optimization process. This paper summarizes the characteristics of several intelligent optimization algorithms involved in the field of multi-disciplinary design optimization. Based on this, several comparison indicators such as time, accuracy, and number of problems solved are proposed, with accuracy being introduced as a new comparison metric and the innovative concept of short-term optimization ability for engineering problems. First, a systematic analysis and study of the multi-disciplinary optimization system were conducted, followed by reading relevant foreign literature on iSIGHT to understand its application background, functions, optimization technologies, and strategies, as well as mastering its usage. Next, the iSIGHT software was used to run case studies and analyze the data results, creating graphs for further analysis. Finally, comparisons were made based on the acquired knowledge to deduce the results. Keywords: intelligent algorithms; multi-disciplinary design optimization; iSIGHT.
