Campus network planning design and simulation have become essential in today's educational institutions as a result of the rapid development of science and technology. The landscape of campus networks has evolved to primarily consist of wired networks with wireless networks playing a supportive role, with major universities accelerating the establishment of their networks.
Network technology has become an integral part of the daily lives of students and educators in higher education institutions, greatly facilitating teaching and daily activities. Currently, most schools in China have achieved comprehensive coverage of campus networks. Campus network design typically follows a traditional three-tier architecture, encompassing aspects such as development prospects, design principles, construction goals, and network topology to plan and design the network effectively. It is important to address the shortcomings of previous campus networks in order to ensure that the network truly serves the teaching and management services of higher education institutions. Further in-depth research is necessary to create more practical and convenient campus networks.
In conclusion, the planning and design of campus networks are crucial in meeting the needs of modern educational institutions and advancing with the times. By adopting a comprehensive approach that considers various aspects of network development, institutions can ensure that their networks are efficient, reliable, and able to support the evolving demands of teaching and learning in the digital age. Continued research and innovation are essential for creating networks that provide maximum benefit for both students and faculty members.
