6. In the Coronary Segmentation tool window, click the Add button. In the axial viewport, scroll
to slice 91.00 and left click to indicate the location of the right coronary artery starting point. Be
sure to indicate the starting point just outside of the aorta area identified by the contour line.
Next, we must indicate the endpoints of the coronary artery.
Note: The coronary segmentation algorithm will find the coronary path connecting the start point with
the end points (note that endpoints can be as many midpoints as you need to guide the coronary
segmentation algorithm to identify the correct path of the coronary artery). In this exercise we will set a
number of these endpoints. As you add endpoints, the detected coronary path is shown in the 3D
viewport as a green line, and the segmented coronary is lumen is shown as a deep red 3D rendering.
We will first add one “way point” early along the course of the coronary artery.
7. Scroll to axial slice 87.00. In the Coronary Segmentation window, click the button to initiate
the endpoint indicator. Left click in the axial viewport to indicate the coronary lumen.
