Abstract With the rapid development of modern economy and the improvement of people's living standards, the construction industry has been growing rapidly, resulting in the construction of high-quality buildings. Elevators have become essential transportation tools in buildings, and their development potential is constantly expanding. In order to ensure the stable and rapid development of elevators and regulate people's daily lives, elevators must be safe and reliable. Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is used for digital electronic industrial applications. It retains the advantages of relay control systems being simple, easy to understand, with high control precision and reliability. At the same time, PLC allows control management programs to change as the process changes, and it is convenient for communication with computer networks and self-maintenance. Different types of machinery or production processes can be controlled by PLC through the use of programmable operating instructions, sequential control, timing, counting, and digital or analog input and output operations. The logical analysis function of relays can be performed by PLC, and the most important advantage of PLC is its programmable function. Therefore, if the internal control management functions of the elevator need to be changed, there is no need to change the hardware and wiring like in relay control information systems; only the program needs to be modified. As a result, the PLC controller greatly improves the safety and reliability of elevator systems while reducing costs. Currently, elevator control technology is not perfect, and it is necessary to constantly improve the performance of elevators to increase work efficiency and meet passengers' needs. Therefore, exploring and designing an elevator control system based on PLC is crucial. Keywords: Elevator Control, PLC, Variable Frequency Drive.
