With the advancement of technology and economy in China, elevators have become an essential part of our daily lives and work. They are not only necessary facilities in high-rise buildings, but also indispensable vertical transportation tools in multi-storey buildings. The control system of elevators has evolved from initial relay control to microcomputer control. Programmable logic controllers (PLCs) have become the core of elevator microcomputer control systems due to their high reliability and powerful functionality. This paper presents the design of an automatic elevator operation system based on PLC technology, with Mitsubishi's PLC being used as the control unit for the entire process. The system controls the elevator's ascent, descent, acceleration, deceleration, leveling, starting, and automatic operation through PLC and logic control circuits. The system is characterized by its simple structure, high operational efficiency, high leveling precision, and ease of understanding and mastery.
