As various technologies continue to evolve in the information field, significant progress has been made in the area of data acquisition. The digitization of data collection has become the mainstream direction of societal development. Data collection is utilized in various fields, such as in oil exploration and seismic data collection. With the rapid development of measurement and control technology, data acquisition systems centered around embedded computers have established dominance in the field of measurement and control. The primary function of a data acquisition system is to process, transmit, display, and store data collected in the field. It involves converting analog signals into digital signals for analysis, processing, storage, and display. Many companies in China have developed data collectors and cards, which greatly facilitate the digitization of information. This graduation design project focuses on the creation of a data collector using an ATMEL 89C51 microcontroller and an AD0809 chip to collect analog voltage signals, convert them into digital signals, transmit them to a PC for processing via serial communication, and display the gathered information on three LED digital displays. Key words include microcontroller, data acquisition, signal processing, and AD0809 chip. In conclusion, the design of a multi-channel data acquisition system is essential in the modern era of information technology. The project aims to demonstrate the practical application of data collection and processing using a microcontroller and various components. By effectively converting analog signals into digital form and transmitting them for further analysis, this system can contribute to the advancement of data collection technologies in various industries.
