Abstract Warehouses play a crucial role in the logistics system as they are essential for the production and distribution of goods. A well-designed warehouse layout can ensure the quality of goods before they enter the next stage of the supply chain, preparing them for market entry. Suning Appliance is a well-known electrical appliance enterprise in the national electrical appliance industry, with many chain enterprises across the country, including Yibin City. However, many chain enterprises lack a sound warehouse management mechanism. In this design, we identified several issues in Suning Appliance's warehouse layout, such as unclear functional zoning, disorganized placement of goods, improper arrangement of storage locations, and unreasonable departmental positions, as well as deficiencies in aisle design. We have re-planned the overall layout of the warehouse, adjusted the storage locations using the ABC analysis method, and redesigned the main and secondary aisles of Suning Appliance's warehouse according to the principles of aisle design to make the layout more rational. This aims to make the warehouse operations more efficient, cost-effective, and ultimately bring more economic benefits to Suning. Keywords: warehouse layout; storage locations; aisles; ABC analysis.
