In this paper, the design of a multi-function electronic calendar based on the STC89C52 single-chip microcomputer is presented. The design consists of four modules: data display module, temperature collection module, time processing module, and adjustment setting module. The system uses the STC89C52 single-chip microcomputer as the controller and the DS1302 serial clock/calendar chip to record date and time. It can accurately keep track of year, month, day, hour, minute, and second, with additional features such as leap year compensation. The temperature collection is done using the DS18B20 chip. The calendar display is intuitive with a digital interface, while the data display employs a 1602A LCD module that simultaneously shows year, month, day, day of the week, hour, minute, and second. It also includes time calibration functionality. This electronic calendar offers advantages such as easy readability, intuitive display, versatile features, simple circuitry, and low cost, making it promising for various market applications.
