The design of a Java-based hospital outpatient management information system is essential for the efficient and effective operation of hospitals in today's modern healthcare environment. This system aims to standardize, regulate, systematize, and rationalize the management of outpatient services in hospitals. This paper discusses the significance of outpatient systems and presents a detailed design of a new hospital outpatient management information system that includes features such as registration and billing management, medical record management, and pharmacy management. By implementing this system, hospitals can significantly improve the efficiency of their outpatient operations. The research in this paper focuses on the design of the hospital outpatient management information system, analyzing various architectural patterns and development tools. Ultimately, the decision was made to adopt a client/server (C/S) model using the Windows platform, Java language, development tools, and SQL Server database platform to design and implement the system.
