The design consists of three main modules: A/D conversion module, data processing module, and display module. The A/D conversion is mainly completed by the ADC0808 chip, which is responsible for converting the collected analog quantity into the corresponding digital quantity and then transmitting it to the data processing module. The data processing is completed by the AT89C51 chip, which is responsible for processing the digital quantity sent by the ADC0808 and generating the corresponding display code to be displayed by the display module; in addition, it also controls the operation of the ADC0808 chip. The digital voltmeter circuit of this system is simple, with fewer components, low cost, and high measurement accuracy and reliability. This digital voltmeter has been simulated and debugged through Proteus software and can measure the input voltage of 0-5V and display it through a four-digit integrated 7-segment display.
