technologies and computer technologies, PLC has become one of the most important and widely used control devices in the field of industrial automation in terms of processing speed, control functions, communication capabilities, and control areas, and has become an important pillar of modern industrial production automation. The control of the assembly line was analyzed and designed in this paper, mainly introducing the control method of PLC programming controller, realizing online monitoring of the working status of the assembly line and automatic control of the system. The designed control system has high practicality, and can perform start-up, shifting, and resetting work, achieving the expected goals well. This design is a simulation of the control of the assembly line, mainly simulating the control of the processing process of products on the assembly line and vividly representing it. The simulation of the main assembly line includes four operation processes (including storage), and the conveyor belt is represented by four segments of indicator lights to indicate the state of product transportation based on the brightness of the lights. To control the object of analysis, we choose to use shift registers to achieve the control purpose. The register shifts every 5 seconds to control the execution of corresponding operations.KEYWORDS: Assembly line, PLC, control system"
