Survey on key technologies of network prognostic
and health management

Abstract This thesis analyzed the significance of prognostic and health management (PHM) in network
maintenance support. The key technologies of network PHM: management mechanism, health evaluation,
prognostic, fault localization, fault recognition and health management were emphatically discussed. Prob-
lems in key technologies of recent network PHM were summarized while the future developing trends were
introduced. Based on these analyzes, the thesis proposes a hierarchical distributed structure on mobile
agent and an integrated management framework for the network PHM system.
