OV13850_R2A Calibration and OTP Programming Guide
OV13850_R2A sensor has 8k bits embedded OTP(One Time Programmable) memory, which is
enough to store camera module calibration data. This document provides general guidelines for
OV13850_R2A camera module calibration, including calibration items and methodology and OTP
programming procedure.
1. OV13850_R2A Camera Module Calibration
OV13850_R2A Camera Module Calibration includes following calibration items: Lens Correction
,White Balance, VCM.
OTP calibration setting includes two parts -- sensor initial setting + OTP key setting. Please don't
load OV DB setting directly.
From ISP pipeline's view, LSC and AWB calibration flow have been changed to get high AWB
calibration accuracy. LSC calibration data should be written back to sensor before AWB
calibration. Please refer to figure 1 to get detail calibration flow.

1.1 Lens Correction Calibration
1.1.1 Module to module Variation of Lens shading and Color shading
The lens shading also has module to module variation. The variation comes from the following
reasons:
1. Camera module assembly variation such as lens holder alignment with camera module
2. Lens assembly variation
3. Sensor micro lens variation(sensor CRA variation).
4. Pan/tilt of image sensor during assembly
The lens shading variation includes luminance shading, which is very clear shown in Figure 2 and
color shading which is not easy to identify by naked eye without doing lens correction and white
balance. CameraAnalyzer which is introduced in Section 3.1 can be used for the lens shading
analysis.
