The design and implementation of news websites have become increasingly important in the internet industry with the advancement of information technology. Our daily lives are closely related to news, and browsing news online has become an indispensable habit. By accessing news on websites, we can stay informed about various events and save costs on traditional print magazines and newspapers. To understand the basic functionalities required for building a news website, a study and analysis of mainstream news portals like Sina News and Sohu News were conducted. The news website was constructed based on the B/S model, allowing users to access news conveniently through a web browser. The system consists of two main components: the front-end interface for users to browse news, post comments, register as regular members, and access friend links, promoting information sharing; and the back-end interface for system administrators to modify and publish news, create new news sections, manage registered members, and perform system maintenance tasks. The Tomorrow News website was primarily developed using JSP, with an SQL Server 2005 database, Tomcat web server, and coding in Eclipse. Key features of the website include real-time news updates, addition of news columns, and management of registered members. Key words: SQL Server, JSP, news website.
