e motors has begun to emerge, which has a wider range of applications compared to DC motors. This paper mainly introduces the working principle of asynchronous motors and the speed regulation methods of asynchronous motors. By changing the frequency, voltage, and pole pairs of the motor, the speed of the motor can be changed. I changed the frequency of the motor to achieve the purpose of changing the motor speed. This paper also introduces the principle of the inverter and the working principle of the PWM (pulse width modulation) inverter. At the same time, the speed regulation of asynchronous motor is simulated through open-loop and closed-loop control using Matlab/simulink system. This paper observed the motor torque and speed as an open-loop system, but in the closed-loop system, the system was designed and simulated using Matlab/simulink, achieving speed regulation, and observing the images of motor speed and torque changes. The reasons for the change in motor speed and the conditions during the simulation process were also analyzed. Key words: Matlab, asynchronous motor, variable frequency speed regulation, simulation.
