he lawn mower is an essential tool in garden design and trimming. Especially for horticultural workers, the use of lawn mowers is commonplace. However, lawn mowing is not an easy task. Many people have a stereotypical impression of lawn mowers as bulky and noisy machines. The main goal of this project is to design a time-saving, labor-saving, efficient, and low-noise lawn mower. The control core system of the new automatic lawn mower is based on the ARM Cortex-M3 architecture, using the STM32 F1 series as the control chip. It adopts four-wheel drive encoder motors for driving, and cooperates with the MPU6050 gyroscope chip to implement PID algorithm control for precise movement of the lawn mower. The operation is controlled remotely via Wi-Fi, utilizing the NRF24L01 chip to transmit data to the core control board through SPI communication. To achieve the cutting height, PWM control is used to adjust the angles of two servos connected to the lifting mechanism. The cutting blades use a DC motor with a reciprocating motion to trim the lawn.
