The document "Design of a Compact Scleral Vessel Imaging Device for Eye Tracking" proposes a novel solution to the challenges associated with current portable eye trackers, which are prone to external environmental influences and variations in the user's physiological and psychological state. The proposed device utilizes scleral vessel imaging for eye tracking, comprising a main lens, a micro-lens array, and an imaging detector. The focal length of the main lens is equal to the distance from the eye surface to the main lens, while the imaging detector is positioned at a distance of 1 times the focal length of the micro-lens array. To minimize the overall size of the imaging device, a right-angled prism is employed to deflect the optical path twice in the sequence of object imaging, main lens, right-angled prism, reflection surface 1, reflection surface 2, micro-lens array, and imaging detector. Experimental results demonstrate that the device, utilizing the micro-lens array, achieves clear and close-range imaging of scleral vessels, generating multi-aperture image arrays of the vessels with the advantages of compact size, large depth of field, and high resolution. This innovative compact scleral vessel imaging device offers significant potential for overcoming the limitations of current portable eye trackers, providing a more robust and reliable solution for eye tracking in diverse environmental conditions and user states.
