Abstract With the continuous growth of global population and economic scale, the environmental issues brought about by energy use and their causes are gradually being recognized. The concept of "low-carbon economy" has begun to enter people's field of vision. Solar energy has the "infinite" reserves, universality, and almost no pollution. In view of this, people are vigorously developing the solar energy industry. Solar water heaters conform to the requirements of the era's development and meet people's demand for environmentally friendly products. In today's increasingly advanced human civilization, it is the best choice for modern civilized society. This paper proposes a new design scheme for a solar water heater control system. This design uses the MSC-51 series single-chip microcontroller AT89S52 as the central resolver, and adopts modules such as the DS1302 real-time clock and the 12864 dot matrix LCD display to complete the display of time, temperature, and water level, as well as functions such as setting time and temperature.
