This report presents the design and implementation of an FSK (Frequency Shift Keying) modulation and demodulation system based on FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) technology. The FSK modulator and demodulator are essential components of communication systems, as the performance of these devices directly impacts the overall system performance. The project team, consisting of four members, worked together for nearly two weeks to design and program the FSK modulation and demodulation system using VHDL (VHSIC Hardware Description Language) in Quartus II software. The resulting FSK modulator and demodulator were successfully developed, with key parameters such as carrier frequencies of f1=12.5MHz and f2=2MHz, and a modulation signal frequency of f=1MHz. The FSK circuit designed in this project can be widely used in remote control systems and frequency-shift communication. The main advantages of using FSK modulation include the elimination of carrier recovery, reducing system complexity, strong nonlinear interference resistance to amplitude, and ease of implementation using both software and hardware. In summary, this project showcases the design and implementation of an FSK modulation and demodulation system using VHDL language, highlighting the benefits and applications of FSK modulation in communication systems. The successful completion of this project demonstrates the team's skills and competence in designing and implementing complex communication systems using FPGA technology.
