Abstract With the development of computer information technology, modern enterprise production scale expanding and competition intensifies day by day, the market for enterprise logistics systems has proposed new requirements. In response to these demands, the application of automated vertical warehouses has become increasingly widespread in China. Automated vertical warehouses offer the benefits of rationalizing high-level storage, automating storage and retrieval processes, and simplifying operations. The main components of an automated vertical warehouse system consist of shelves, aisle stacker cranes, in/out workstations, and automated transportation and control systems. The electrical control of this project mainly consists of devices such as PLC, stepper motor drivers, stepper motors, and DC motors from Siemens. This thesis provides a brief introduction to the topic, including background information, research significance, and the current situation. It then proceeds to explain and analyze the system's hardware composition, structure, and principles. The devices used in the system are introduced, with a focus on the programming of the PLC. Finally, the knowledge gained and conclusions drawn from designing this project are summarized and discussed. Keywords: automated vertical warehouse, electrical control, PLC
