AP0404214 is a design project conducted at Wuyi University, focusing on the implementation of traffic light control systems using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) based on configuration technology. The traffic signal control system plays a vital role in ensuring smooth traffic flow in urban areas. PLCs are known for their strong interference resistance, high reliability, compact size, and simple programming capabilities, making them widely used in automated control systems. The research in this project specifically targets the use of Omron CQM1 PLCs for controlling traffic lights. The project aims to make full use of the PLC's timing/counting, sequential control, and logical operation functions. The paper provides an overview of the control program design method for implementing a traffic signal PLC control system, as well as simulation using the configuration software Kingview. Throughout the design process, the project focuses on studying the basic principles and applications of PLCs and Kingview. The design team utilizes ladder diagram programming to create the traffic light control program and simulates the functionality using visual monitoring screens provided by Kingview. Keywords: PLC, Kingview, Traffic Light. Overall, this graduation design project explores the integration of PLCs and configuration technology to develop an efficient and reliable traffic signal control system. The use of PLCs provides flexibility, robustness, and ease of control, while the Kingview software allows for simulation and visualization of the system's operations. By combining these technologies, the project aims to contribute to the enhancement of traffic management and urban transportation efficiency.
