The rapid development of PLC technology in China has narrowed the gap between us and advanced technologies abroad. Seizing this opportunity to further promote and apply PLC technology is crucial for improving our country's industrial automation level. This study focuses on the design of the electrical control system for the Z3040 pitman arm drilling machine, aiming to incorporate advanced industrial control technologies from foreign countries to enhance the working performance of the drilling machine. In the future, CNC technology will continue to evolve towards high precision, high speed, high efficiency, systematization, automation, intelligence, and integration, emphasizing both process suitability and cost-effectiveness. Key words: PLC; Pitman arm drilling machine; Relay. Overall, the design and implementation of the PLC control system for the Z3040 pitman arm drilling machine is a significant step towards enhancing industrial automation in China. By incorporating advanced technologies and focusing on efficiency and precision, this project sets the stage for future developments in CNC technology. The successful application of PLC technology in this project not only improves the working performance of the drilling machine but also contributes to the overall advancement of industrial automation in our country. With continuous efforts to promote and apply PLC technology, China is poised to further narrow the technological gap with other countries and enhance its industrial competitiveness.
