One of the advantages of e-commerce is the ability to simplify business processes and reduce transportation costs for enterprises, and reliable and efficient logistics operations are the basis for the cost advantage and sustainability of e-commerce. In China, as a developing country where e-commerce is just beginning to emerge, there is vast development space and huge market potential for e-commerce. However, along with rapid development, there are also some problems, including network technology, online payment, policies and regulations, and logistics distribution. Among these, logistics distribution is a "bottleneck" problem that directly restricts the development of e-commerce in China. Logistics distribution is an important part of e-commerce and is an important guarantee for the realization of e-commerce. The e-commerce process without a logistics distribution mode is incomplete. For enterprises engaging in e-commerce, different situations require different logistics distribution decisions, and the formation of a logistics distribution mode is the first and crucial consideration. Based on the basic theories of logistics distribution and e-commerce, this paper studies e-commerce logistics from the perspective of how e-commerce enterprises can choose suitable logistics modes. Logistics distribution modes in China's e-commerce environment mainly include self-operated logistics mode, third-party logistics mode, and logistics alliance mode. The main problems in e-commerce logistics distribution in China are high distribution costs, low distribution quality, low information management level, and serious resource waste. This paper starts from the origin and development of e-commerce, summarizes e-commerce theory, logistics theory, and e-commerce logistics distribution theory; and on this basis, analyzes the current development and the main problems of e-commerce logistics distribution in China. Taking Taobao as an example, the paper analyzes the case from the perspective of logistics strategic position, and uses a combination of Analytic Hierarchy Process and Delphi method for evaluation.
